Helping Out Our Neighbors
Just about one year ago the remnants of
hurricane Irene packed a punch on our neighbors. She came through with high
winds and torrential rains. Many homes, roads, and bridges were washed out.
This devastation came at a high cost to many people.
Baby Threads heard about a little church
group in one of the devastated areas that was trying to set up a little clothes
closet and decided to help. After the
closing of the Laconia thrift shop, the Baby Threads storage unit was filled
with racks, hangers, shelves, sign boards, a sandwich board, and even an open
sign. The perfect beginning for a little community clothes closet!
Volunteers Joe and Shirley came over to
fill up their van with the items to help out the new clothes closet. We wish
them well.
