Spotlight Winter 2012

Some folks like to make resolutions or goals for the year ahead. In 2011 some of the Baby Threads
volunteers told Bon about their goals for things they wanted to do for Baby Threads.

Joki and Arnie wanted to beat the afghan totals from previous years. They were successful! Arnie
wound all of the yarn into balls and Joki crocheted 250 afghans between Jan. 1st 2011 and Dec. 31st,
2011.

Zeb said he wanted to crochet enough mittens to cover the top of our sewing table.

Linda (Mrs. Santa) wanted to adopt as many children as possible for Christmas. Each of her gifts
contained handmade mittens, toothbrush and paste, treat, book, stuffed toy, and a special doll or truck.

Ann wanted to make at least 50 sweater sets for the layette bags.

Penny Pitou Travel staff members heard that the backpack program and Thanksgiving baskets weren't
going to happen due to the lack of funds at Baby Threads. They set to work getting donations so that
these 2 special projects could happen.

I would like to say thank you to all of our volunteers. Many of you never even say who you are. You
come from all over the USA. Working together we have made a huge difference for children in NH!
